

If
you ever wondered what it would be like to take part in
a paranormal investigation in the reputedly haunted Derby
Gaol, you need wonder no more!
The Gaol is available for overnight hire, whether you want to conduct your own paranormal investigation, experience the atmosphere of the old Gaol, or just celebrate your Hen or Stag night in a kooky and original manner.
There is a minimum allocation of 15
people and a maximum of 30 people. Prices are set at £45.00
per person (Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays) and £35 per
person (Monday - Thursday) and include tea, coffee and light
snacks throughout the night. Bar facilities
are available on request for each vigil but bar prices are
not included in the overnight fee.
Overnight
vigils are now available EVERY NIGHT throughout

It may also be advisable to bring along
some extra provisions... such as spare loo roll... if some
of the eerie reports are anything to go by!
Terms and Conditions
1. The investigation of the paranormal,
both on an overnight event and a ghost walk involves an
element of personal risk and potential exposure to unexpected
situations which some people may find particularly frightening
and shocking. Participants must be fully capable of assuming
the risks involved and should not be of a nervous disposition
or suffering from a medical or psychological condition which
may impact on their safe participation at the event or place
them or others at risk. Any participant who is in doubt as to
their suitability to attend a ghost hunting event should seek
medical advice.
2. Participants must be aged 16 or over
for overnight events. Proof of age may be required. There is
no age limit for the ghost walks, it is at parents'
discretion.
3. Participants must conduct themselves
in a responsible and appropriate manner and treat others with
courtesy. We reserve the right to refuse entry or eject from
an event without refund any participant deemed to be behaving
in an unsuitable manner.
4. The consumption of alcohol is strictly
prohibited at all events unless served on licensed premises.
We reserve the right to refuse entry or eject without refund
any participant believed to be under the influence of alcohol
or drugs. We also reserve the right to confiscate any alcohol
brought to an event by the customer.
5. Participants are advised to dress
accordingly for each event and to wear warm, comfortable
clothing and practical shoes or trainers.
6. In accordance with the Health Act 2006
and smoke free law smoking is not permitted inside any of our
venues. Smokers will be directed to designated outdoor areas
which may be used during refreshment breaks only. Naked flames
or other fire hazards are strictly prohibited.
7. Where permitted participants are
welcome to use their own recording/camera equipment for
private purposes only. The content and scripts used at events
is copyrighted to Derby Gaol Ltd and may not be used for any
form of publication including books, magazines, newspapers,
DVD's, VHS, Television broadcast.
8. Participants requiring disabled access
are advised to telephone Derby Gaol Ltd on 08000 277928.
9. Participants are responsible for the
safety and security of their own property. We do not accept
liability for any loss, theft or damage to personal property.
10. In the unfortunate event of an
accident we do not accept any responsibility or liability for
the death or personal injury of any participant at an event
unless caused by the negligence of Derby Gaols' employees.
14. Participants are reminded of the
dangers of driving when sleep deprived and are advised to
either book nearby accommodation after an overnight event or
to make suitable alternative travel arrangements. Derby Gaol
Ltd do not accept responsibility for any accidents which may
occur after an event.
15.1 Derby Gaol Ltd reserves the right to
cancel or postpone an event due to unforeseen circumstances.
In such cases we will endeavour to contact participants as
soon as possible and provide a full refund of the booking fee.
15.2 If the numbers of paying customers
for an overnight event does not reach the minimum number of 10
then the event will be cancelled and a full refund offered to
the customers booked on the event. There is no minimum
cancellation period for this situation.
15.3 If the numbers of paying customers
for a ghost walk does not reach the minimum number of 6 then
the ghost walk will be cancelled and a full refund offered to
the customers booked on the walk. There is no minimum
cancellation period for this situation.
15.4 If an event is cancelled by Derby
Gaol Ltd for any reason then Derby Gaol Ltd do not accept any
responsibility or liability for other costs incurred including
travel or accommodation.
16.All deposits are non refundable. If
full payment is received for an event and then a booking is
cancelled by the customer more than 28 working days prior to
the event then the deposit amount per person will not be
refunded, but the remaining balance will be refunded. If a
customer cancels less than 28 working days prior to the event
then the whole payment is non refundable. Should the situation
arise that The Derby Gaol Ltd cancels an event due to
unforseen circumstances then refunds will be arranged.
17. The information provided by
participants when booking an event will remain confidential
and will not be passed on to a third party except as required
by law.
18. Derby Gaol Ltd reserve the right to
amend the above terms and conditions at any time.
19. The minimum number of people required
to book a private event just for your group is 15. If the
numbers drop below 15 then full payment for the minimum of 15
is still payable.
19. By reading these terms and conditions
and booking one of our events the customer agrees to all the
terms and conditions. |
